Some more silk
This silk is dyed for a couple of different projects – the top row is stuff that I’m trading, along with some cocoons, to someone who is going to embroider my Oak King into a kerchief for me.
The bottom row is the silk for that Oak King.
NUMMY! I can’t wait to see the embroidery. That’s an heirloom in the making!
Amazingly beautiful stuff! And ditto on the “can’t wait to see”! 🙂
i am new to your page so please excuse me for redundant questions
but
what dyes are you using for these silks?
it strikes me that
after all the trouble to grow the worms
and harvest the silk
that
you must have researched it
and
be using amazing old natural dyes?
or
are the modern dyes better?
time has told
so
you tell me
