beautiful!
I really like the way they hung the show.
And having my silk skeins draped across mannequin boobs, made me smile.
me too!
wow… just… i’m speechless.
Some of those just knocked my socks off. And congratulations!
I *thought* those were yours when i saw the picture!
:: hefting man-boobs :: Well, mine aren’t quite that perky, these days…
🙂
That set of skeins won an Award of Merit in the Handspun category.
MAN BOOBS!!!
::sigh::
ok if you wanna go that way, why don’t they have men’s nether regions mannequins there?
Absolutely gorgeous!! Hope to see it in person when I’m town in a couple of weeks…
Ah, cool! When will you be here?
I’m flying in the morning of Friday, April 25, back out the afternoon of Monday, the 28th. My brother and his 3 kids live up in the Allen/McKinney area and I like to come visit every year. Our main “event” for the weekend will be visiting with each other while enjoying Scarborough Faire, but I think we might manage a trip by the library as well. I’m not sure I can resist the chance to see your ribbon “in person”, and everything looks so stunning!
Mespies your silk there.
Were there elves weaving those short black and white strips, and placing them everywhere, or where they an indication of some kind?
Congratulations again, clever man!
The wavy-river-lines ones are “Award of Merit,” the ones with the simple diamonds are “Award of Excellence,” the ones with the multi-directional scultptural diagonals are Named Awards (like the Jean Kudlicki Award) and the ones with the cups are Best of Show and Juror’s Choice. The little elf was ME, of course… that’s the problem, being a ribbon weaver, is that they get you to do all the ribbons. There are 20 for each show.
You’ve got quite a talented guild. Wonderful work.
Thanks!
