Prize ribbons
This is just the first installment of the prize ribbons.
These ribbons are prizes for the Dallas Handweavers and Spinners Guild show which will open on April 13 at the main downtown library. The title of the show is “Sleight of Hand,” and all the themed materials (brochure, postcards, prizes, etc.) are related to stage magic.
Best of Show is going to say “hocus pocus” and the Student Best of Show will say “shazam!”
“ta-da!” is the intermediate level of awards. The next level of award will be a magic wand, and the lower level will be small twisted cords – mainly because I don’t have the time and the energy right now to weave 20 ribbons!
🙂
I am always superbig smiling and shaking my head in wonder at you.
Those are completely fabulous. I’d wear a ribbon that said “ta-da!” every day, never mind as a prize.
You did it again! Wow! Those are fab – and I know they’ll be well appreciated (I HOPE so! That is a LOT of work!)
Same here! I think they’re charming. 8-]

so very cool of you!
Hee… thanks!
I really need to make up some little jewelry pieces… the things they could say!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks!
my gosh, those are superb.
AWESOME!! You are so talented sugar!! How goes the video? When do we get to see it??
They took it to Nashville; Willie’s people oK’d it, it goes out on LOGO next Friday. I’m not sure who will or won’t pick it up after that.
Yaay!
thanks!
wow! Those are NEAT! I would render all opponents usless to win a fab ribbon such as this! 🙂
Hee. Thanks! Maybe one of these days I’ll be making ribbons for a show that you’ll be in! It’ll have to be something big and national… so we’ll know we’ve both made it BIG!
:):) Sure thing! Actually I’m contemplating going back to school to get my masters in fibers and possibly adding painting to that so I can actually get a job. 😉 I think that might motivate me to enter shows and finish my weaving projects.
