Our Little Bantam… hen?
Today, for the first time, I saw Little Bit crow.
So far, at least, it’s really low-volume; I hope we don’t end up with a full-on rooster crow, because they’re not allowed in the City of Dallas. If “she” turns out to be a “he,” we may have to get rid of her.
Well, “she” also has a very rooster-like tail, posture and comb, so odds are good that she is a he. That is a really cute little crow, though! Our silkie roosters have ridiculous tiny crows, and aren’t terribly loud. Or that might just be in comparison to the big bruisers we have who strut around and shout all day and night. Ennngh. Roosters.

I’ve visited your site and blog often — and it’s so amazingly informative and interesting! Thank you for posting and sharing your projects. Most recently, I’ve been gathering information for my 3rd grader’s art project; they will be raising silkworms, following them through cocooning.
I’m sure you’ve been asked this numerous times before, but may I inquire what kind of camera and lens you use? Your photos are just a-ma-zing!

I’m on Oahu, but when visiting the Big Island, I love strolling through Waimea — and perhaps you will too, if you haven’t been before! Funny that you’re going to Hilo — that’s where we’re purchasing our silkworms from (most web merchants will not ship to Hawaii). Have a great trip! Can’t wait to see pics that you post!
