For any local (North Texas) folks who will be around on Saturday, the 25th – I’m going to be part of an exhibit at the Crow Collection of Asian Art, showcasing art from the Silk Road. The title of the traveling exhibit is “Ancient Threads, Newly Woven: Recent Art from China’s Silk Road“. There is […]
I got my work listed in Treenway’s “Silkster’s Gallery”! It’s not a competition, but it is juried, and it’s neat to be in there. And I’m getting a skein of silk for making it in, which is always wonderful. Treenway is my source for commercial cocoons, and they also have a lot of different forms […]
These are for Paul Martin, who is going to tie fishing flies with them. More colors to come: purple, green, magenta, silver, teal.

I got interviewed for a Fiber Cast episode – http://fiberarts.typepad.com/fibercast/ We talk for about twenty minutes about silk, silkworms, sericulture… I’m excited; I think it turned out well.
I used the remaining warp from Nick and Cerra’s handfasting ribbon to make my Pakistani friend Harry a bookmark.
This is a project that I’ve been fiddling with for quite a while. I finally got it finished up, blocked, pressed, and gifted the week before Christmas. The photos have been hanging out in the camera since then – finally, all the *other* holiday business is done, so I got a chance to fiddle with […]
