Asian Festival 2008 – see y'all there!

It’s time once again for the Dallas Asian Festival! It’s at the Dallas City Hall plaza.
The City Hall site has a link to a map, and directions.

Here’s my post from last year’s Festival – it was a good event! Very busy, lots of neat things to see and do. I didn’t get to get out of the booth much, but there was all kinds of food and drink and hands-on crafts and cultural entertainment.

I’ll be with the Crow Collection’s booths; last year, they were green and yellow, but I’m not sure if they’re the same this year.

Thanks! It’s a fun event; I really enjoy getting to share this especially with people who have it as part of their own cultural heritage. It’s very cool to have people from India, China, Laos, Thailand, etc., come by and talk about how their grandmother, or uncle, or some neighbor, raised silkworms in the old country!

He was *fascinated* – he sat there long enough, intermittently petting the caterpillar and just gazing at it, for me to ask his mom for permission to take a picture, get the camera turned on, and snap this.

How come I am having a hard time finding the event on google? The City Hall site isnt much help. It is this weekend? I hope – I will be there tomorrow! This is my only free weekend to do something I would do on my own (but I am bringing a friend) and not because of other obligations.

Yup! I’ll be there. Definitely stop by and say howdy! I can tend to get a little tunnel-vision’ed at these things – just FYI. There’s so many kids waving their passport thingies in my face!
